Meet the Firm

Thomas Morrissey

Attorney

Thomas Morrissey received his B.B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He focuses his practice on obtaining justice for victims of injury and death and their families.

Thomas is licensed to practice law in Missouri, Arkansas and Texas and is a regular inactive member in Nebraska.

Thomas is a member of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association (SMBA), Missouri Association of Trail Attorneys (MATA) and the American Association for Justice (AAJ).

He was a 2004 and 2008 speaker at the SMBA annual PICLE, personal injury legal education, a 2005 speaker for the National Institute concerning uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, and a 2008 speaker at the Solo and Small Firm Conference “Sunrise CLE” (Continuing Legal Education). He also participated in a mock trial for the Ozarks Regional Mock Trial Competition as a judge.

Thomas is a proud father and resides in Springfield, Missouri, with his two children, Joshua and Elizabeth (Ellie).


B. Kyle Kent

Attorney

Kyle Kent received his B.S. degree from Northeastern State University and his J.D. degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. He strives to advocate for people who have been wrongfully injured.

Kyle is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Washington.

He is a member of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association (SMBA).

After graduating law school in 2017 and passing the bar that summer, Kyle began his legal career by accepting a position as an Assistant Public Defender for the Missouri Public Defender. After a year of gaining trial experience fighting for the rights of the indigent, Kyle joined The Morrissey Law Firm, P.C. team where he can now advocate for the rights of those who have been injured.

Kyle, in his spare time, enjoys spending time with his wife, Darya and their son, Christian.


Lisa Link

Paralegal/Office Manager

Lisa was born and raised in the St. Louis area. She has lived in Springfield since June 2016 and graduated from Missouri State University in May 2020 with her Bachelors in Criminology. Lisa has worked at The Morrissey Law Firm since June 2018. In her time away from work, Lisa enjoys spending her time traveling and being outdoors.

In addition to Paralegal work, Lisa also manages the day to day operations of the firm.


Angela Allen

Paralegal

Angela Allen has been in the Springfield area since 2009. She grew up at the Lake of the Ozarks and spent a couple decades in Columbia, Missouri. She graduated from Mizzou with a Bachelor of Journalism and English degrees. After working as an editor at the state medical association, she started a family and raised two girls, one graduating from a liberal arts college in Minnesota this Spring, the other a recent St. Louis University graduate working on her doctorate at the University of Utah. Angela will complete her Master of Legal Studies from Washington University this Fall.

She is a sports fan who follows the Tigers, Chiefs, and Royals. She enjoys a day at the horse races, planting native plants in her yard, and spending too much time on social media. Angela is also an active community volunteer.


Jenn Ridley

Paralegal

Jenn was born and raised in the Rocky Mountains but has lived in Springfield since August 2011. She is currently set to graduate in December with her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from MSU. Jenn has been with The Morrissey Law Firm since the beginning of August 2021, and loves being a part of the team! Outside of work, Jenn enjoys spending time with her dog Sadie, her cat Harley, her fish Javier, and her boyfriend Ryan.


Dena Teaver

Office Assistant

Dena grew up in Springfield, Missouri where she graduated from Hillcrest in 2005. She attended OTC and Drury University.

She’s been employed at The Morrissey Law Firm since May 2013. She enjoys spending time with her family, her daughter Reign, and her two German Shepherds.
