Thomas Morrissey
Attorney
Thomas Morrissey was born in Westminster, California. His father was an attorney and law professor, and his mother was a public school teacher. At the age of 8, the Morrissey family relocated to Castle, Arkansas, where Thomas and his older and younger brothers were raised.
Thomas received his B.B.A. in Finance and J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. After graduating law school in 1996, Thomas relocated to Springfield to open a branch office of the law firm he worked for during law school.
In 2003, Thomas decided to open The Morrissey Law Firm, P.C., and dedicate the practice to helping those hurt or killed by the wrongful conduct of others with a strong emphasis on client relationships.
Thomas has honed his trial skills through over 26 years of experience and lifelong learning. Thomas is a Master Graduate of the Keenan Trial Institute (KTI). He is also on faculty of KTI’s Black Letter Law College and is Assistant Dean of KTI’s Direct Exam College.
Thomas is a member of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association (SMBA), the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA), and the American Association for Justice (AAJ).
Thomas is a proud father to his son, Joshua, and his daughter, Elizabeth (Ellie).
In his spare time, Thomas enjoys hot yoga and playing cards (black widow) with Momma Morrissey.
Dane Puckett
Attorney
Born in Pittsburg, Kansas, Dane grew up in Springfield, Missouri, where he has spent nearly his entire life. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics, with minors in Criminology and Psychology, from Missouri State University in May of 2023. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law in May of 2026.
During law school, Dane was elected by his classmates to serve as a class representative. In that role, he participated in Student Bar Association meetings and served on committees responsible for organizing events. He also was an Associate Member of the Journal of Dispute Resolution, where his work was published. Dane later joined the journal’s executive board as a Note and Comment Editor. In that position, he worked with student authors to improve their writing, reviewed submissions, and helped select articles for publication.
As a law student, Dane gained practical legal experience through two summer internships. In 2024, he served as a judicial intern for the Honorable David P. Rush at the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri. While there, he conducted legal research, prepared written legal analyses, observed court proceedings, and discussed cases with the judge. In 2025, he worked as a Rule 13 intern with the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Under the direct supervision of licensed attorneys, he appeared in court proceedings on behalf of the State of Missouri and presented arguments before the court.
Dane is a member of the Missouri Bar and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association.
In his spare time, Dane enjoys playing golf, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
Serena Lakey
Senior Litigation Paralegal
Serena graduated from Drury University in 2006 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, Sociology, and Psychology. Serena has been a paralegal since 2012. She has been with The Morrissey Law Firm since July, 2026.
When Serena is not working, she enjoys camping with her significant other and spending time with her children and grandson.
Dena Teaver
Office Coordinator
Dena has lived in Springfield, Missouri her whole life. She graduated from Hillcrest High School and later attended both Ozark Technical Community College and Drury University. She has been employed at The Morrissey Law Firm, P.C., since May of 2013.
When Dena is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her partner, their daughter, Reign, and their dog, Zeus.
Harlie Anderson
Legal Assistant
Harlie has lived in Springfield since 2020, and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Criminology in May of 2025. She grew up in Valley Springs, Arkansas, where she graduated high school. She has been employed at The Morrissey Law Firm, P.C., since August of 2026.
When Harlie is not at the office, she enjoys reading, playing music, and spending time with her partner and their cat, Prudence.
